Smolak Farms Ice Cream Stand

Nice place. Enjoyed the Alpacas. They also have deer and chickens. The gift shop was nice. Since it was later in the season, there were NO apples left, which is sad since that was our whole reason for going. The honey candles they sell are amazing and worth every penny!

Just a good old New England farm. Took my daughter there today to get a pumpkin. Was under the impression that you went out in the field to pick the pumpkin but the pumpkins were out front at a stand. Not a deal breaker or anything. Had a great time on the hay ride and walking around seeing the farm animals and going on the cow train was fun too. Over all Smolak farm is a great place and will be back next year.

I've loved Smolak's since I was a kid, and despite the fact I'm 33-yrs-old with 3 children of my own, I think I love it even more! Things have definitely changed within those yrs, and I love the awesome play area/park completely made of wood, and is surrounded by the many wonderful animals (fenced in, of course)! I could tell the woman overseeing the animals wasn't a "people person" but as soon as I excitedly asked if those were angora rabbits in the cages area, her demeanor shifted and she had me wait so she could run to get something. She came back with a beautiful little children's story book, authored & autographed by the owner of Smolak Farm! She said it was the last copy & how kind of her to gift it to my daughter on a whim! We cherish that book like no other and I was so thankful to that woman!
